TTC Cantlay Foundation Series Finale

October 16-17, 2021 | Indian Wells Golf Resort - Players Course

INDIAN WELLS, CA – Luke Powell of Laguna Niguel and Frances Kim of Rolling Hills Estates were crowned champions at the Toyota Tour Cup Patrick Cantlay Foundation Series Finale at the Indian Wells Golf Resort – Players Course.

Powell started the final round needing to overcome a three-stroke deficit and he was able to deliver, firing a final round six-under par 66 for a two-day nine-under par 135. He got off to a hot start on his front-nine recording four-birdies on holes 2, 3, 7, and 9. Adversity struck on the back-nine with bogeys on 11 and 15 but he was able to stay resilient with birdies on 12, 14, 16, and 18 to seal the victory for the Boys Championship.

Nathan Tseng of Diamond Bar and Joshua Koo of Cerritos showed a valiant effort in trying to keep pace with Powell but had to settle for second at seven-under par 137.

Kim ran away with the Girls Championship, matching her opening round five-under par 67 with another 67 for a two-day 10-under par 134. Birdies on holes 1, 4, 7, 8, 13, 15, 18 were able to offset her two bogeys on 10 and 11 en route to victory.

Finishing in second and third were Jasmine Koo, five-under par 139, of Cerritos and Kylie Chong, four-under par 140, respectively.

With the conclusion of the Series Finale the point leaders were finalized with Powell and Kim claiming top-honors. Both earned the point title fueled by two TTC Cantlay Series wins apiece.

There were also two hole-in-ones this week, as both Zander Grant of Rancho Santa Margarita and Lilly DeNunzio of Henderson, NV aced the par-3 17th.
