About Coachella Youth Golf
Coachella Youth Golf is a community based initiative focused on providing competitive playing opportunities throughout the Coachella Valley. We welcome boys and girls of all skill levels ages 15-18 who have a passion to compete and grow through the game of golf. Coachella Youth Golf fosters affordable, inclusive and diverse experiences aimed to increase participation, proficiency and enjoyment of the game. Participants compete in 2-day stroke play events throughout the summer at local clubs.

We are thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news with you! Beginning this coming summer, the Southern California PGA (SCPGA) will officially be running Coachella Youth Golf (CYG).
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to OD Vincent, the original founder of this fantastic program. We are incredibly grateful for his vision and for giving us the opportunity to host these tournaments for the talented players of the Coachella Valley. Our mission is to keep the roots of CYG firmly intact while doing our absolute best to serve local players by providing premier competitive opportunities at some of the best clubs in the region.
To ensure a smooth transition, the core elements that make CYG great will remain very similar this summer.

Experience Level
All 15-18 year old juniors are eligible to participate in CYG events. It is strongly encouraged to have prior tournament experience before participating in any events.
CYG events are 36-hole tournaments. All events have a double par +1 rule in effect where players must pick up and move to the next hole once they reach the max score. Example; (7) on a par 3, (9) on a par 4, (11) on a par 5.
