FINAL ROUND RECAP

INDIAN WELLS, California – Dylan Oyama of Carlsbad and Jasmine Koo of Cerritos braved the scorching desert heat and fended off fierce competition to win the TTC Cantlay Series at the Indian Wells Golf Resort – Celebrity Course.  

Oyama fired a two-day seven-under par 135 and converted a 20-foot birdie putt on his second playoff hole to win wire-to-wire for his first TTC title of the year. He followed up his stellar opening round 65 with a 70 that consisted of three birdies and two bogeys. Also in the playoff was Luciano Conlan of Carlsbad who finished runner-up with a seven-under par 135. Ryan Abuan was a single shot back at six-under par 136.

Koo’s dominant play continued as she fired a final round 68 to go along with her first round 66 for a 10-under par total 134. Two shots back at eight-under par 136 were Yurang Li of Fullerton and Alice Zhao of Irvine.

ROUND ONE RECAP

INDIAN WELLS, California – After round one of action at the TTC Cantlay Series hosted by the Indian Wells Resort – Celebrity Course, Dylan Oyama of Carlsbad leads the Boys Championship and Alyson Sor of Long Beach & Jasmine Koo of Cerritos are tied for the overnight lead for the Girls Championship! 

This marks the third event in the four event series with valuable series points on the line. The following players are in the top-3 in standings heading into the third event:

Boys:

T1 Tony Tao – 450
T1 Luke Powell – 450
T3 Dalin Piao – 375
T3 Dylan Hebert – 375

Girls:

1 Lisa Herman – 465
T2 Elina Kuang – 450
T2 Frances Kim – 450

Oyama was on cruise control throughout his round as he fired a blemish-free six-under par 65 highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 2nd. Hot on his heels are Nathan Tseng at five-under par 66 and Connor Williams of Escondido at four-under par 67.

Sor and Koo are knotted up at six-under par 66 after 18 holes and look towards posting a low second round score to get into the winner’s circle. Sor was dialed-in with five birdies and an impressive eagle on the par-4 8th. Koo hopes to continue her steady play as her scorecard featured six-birdies and no bogeys. Alice Zhao of Irvine sits within striking distance one-stroke back at five-under par 67.
