Toyota Tour Cup at Twin Oaks
Hot temperatures and hot scores this weekend in beautiful San Marcos! A special thank you to Troy Ferguson and all the wonderful staff at Twin Oaks Golf Course for hosting us again!
It was a tight finish for the girls, leading to a 3-way playoff at -3 between first round leader Alice Zhao, who shot the low round of the tournament 68, Angelina Huang, and Alyson Sor, who came from 3 back with a solid 70 today. Alyson birdied the 2nd playoff hole to earn her 2nd TTC win in the past 2 weeks! Congrats to the girls for their stellar play!
The first round for the boys was highlighted by two 66’s from rising freshman Jay Leng Jr. and San Diego native Michael Ma. They finished in 2nd and 3rd shooting -7 and -6, respectively, but it was Steven Deutsch who earned the 2 shot victory after going -6 in his last 6 holes to shoot a final round 63 (!!!) to complete the four-shot comeback! Great playing to Steven and all the boys this week!
