Toyota Tour Cup at Soboba Golf Course
After a great weekend at the beautiful Soboba Springs Golf Course, two 2-day Champions were crowned. Thank you players for attending and awesome play this weekend!
With 56 boys and 32 girls competing, the overall scoring average after round one, with seven players posting red numbers, was 78.13 for the boys and 77.25 for the girls. After round two, nine more red numbers were carded with an overall scoring average of 77.57 for the boys and 74.67 for the girls.
Lisa Herman led the field after round one with a three-under 69, followed by Jaylen Lee with a one-under, 71. Jia An, Elise Lee, and Kaili Xiao all were at even par going into round two. Elise Lee came out firing in round two with five birdies and an eagle to post a tournament low 66 to catapult herself to first place. Kali Xiao posted a bogey free, five-under 68 to take overall second place and Lisa Herman posted a solid 74 to take overall third place. Congratulations, ladies!
For the boys after round one, Daniel Heo and David Cho led the field and both posted a three-under, 69. Daniel Heo carded an eagle and three birdies, while David Cho posted four birdies to tie for first going into round two. After round two, Daniel Heo posted a solid 72 to finish the tournament at three-under to take home the overall victory. Kyle Wada and David Cho tied for second after finishing two-under for the tournament.
