Players Tour Fall 2-Day at Soboba Springs

With the Fall Series coming to an end, The Players Tour completed its final 2-Day at Soboba Springs this past weekend. Cooler temperatures finally appeared during this season leading to a change in strategy for players.

Although the course was playing tough, the first round saw many players fire sub par rounds. In the Boy’s Overall division,  Alex (Run) Ni led the day with a round of 70 (-2). Jonathan Jeon and Sam Rossi both followed with rounds of 71 (-1). The Girl’s Overall division saw even lower scores with Alison Soewito leading the day with a round of 68 (-4), Katelyn Kong with a 70 (-2) and Victoria Wang trailing with a 71 (-1).

The second round saw extremely windy conditions which led to a change on the leaderboard. In the Boy’s Overall division, Matthew Diehl took 1st place with an overall score of E. Jack Yurosek followed with +1 while Alex (Run) Ni took 3rd at +3.

*Matthew Diehl fired a back nine 33 to shoot E in the final round!*

In the Girl’s Overall Division, Victoria Wang showed some consistency and fired a total of +1 to take 1st place. Alison Soewito followed with +4. Honorine Nobuta Ferry and Fay Jia took a tie for 3rd at +5.
