Players Tour 2-Day Summer Series at Industry Hills

The grueling Southern California heat is upon us! Industry Hills played host to our 78 Players Tour members battling it out for some mid-season points.

Industry Hills is always a stop of The Players Tour and Toyota Tour Cup due to its difficulty and course management requirement from the junior golfers. Round 1 boasted an average score of 82 for the boys and 83 for the girls.

Elson Liu broke away from the pack carding a 1-over 72, with Youngjin Park and Dante Lazare on his tail at 2-over. For the girls, Cindy Yang shot the only even par round of the day with a 71. Hannah Ulibarri wasn’t too far behind at 2-over and Clairey Lin and Jaylen Wan were tied for third at 4-over.

Cindy Yang was able to close out the event by one stroke, securing the win with scores of 71, 78. Hannah Ulibarri kept her cool and landed runner-up honors with her card of 77. Eleanor Koo stayed consistent with two 76’s to land her in third.

Ryan Lee followed up his first round 75 with one better, 74, to secure third. Dante Lazare posted a one-over to push Elson Liu into a playoff after Elson’s final round of 73. Making a clutch 30-footer for birdie on the 2^nd play-off hole, Elson Liu took home the win and Dante Lazare took home the runner-up honors.
