Players Tour 2-Day Summer Series #4

Taking a break from the summer heat led the Players Tour to River Ridge in Oxnard this week. The course provided a good breeze from the ocean and cool temperatures, forcing our players to adapt to different course conditions this summer.

The first round proved to be a breeze (quite literally) for both the boys and girls overall divisions. In the boys division, there were 5 rounds under par, with a four way tie for first at -2. (Henry Mariscal, Brady McHenry, Kevin Kang, and Raymond Moll) and Jinuk Choi trailing by one. In the girls division, Annie Weng led the field with a 69 (-1) with Jayden Peters, Zoe Sprecher, and Katelyn Kong all trailing by two!

After the final round, Dante Lazare came from behind to force a playoff with Brady McHenry. Both players managed to shoot under par rounds the second time around the course. Through the first hole of the playoff, Dante was able to secure the win with a 20 footer for birdie. Rounding out the boys division, Jinuk Choi finished the tournament at -2 to secure third place.

The girls division also saw a number of low rounds during the second day. Annie Weng was able to defend her lead today to capture a 1st place finish. Katelyn Kong and Zoe Sprecher both earned a runner up finish respectively.
