Players Tour 2-Day Series at Pala Mesa
FALLBROOK, CA – After two challenging rounds, facing windy conditions and tight fairways, another 2-day Series Champion was crowned. With 52 boys and 29 girls competing, the course average for the boys was 79.84 and the girls was 80.98.
Jia An led the girls after round one with a solid score of 73. Going into day two, An had a one shot lead and posted a 75, shooting -1 on her front nine, to tie Lisa Herman, who posted two consistent rounds of 74. After a nail-biting two-hole playoff, Herman birdied the second playoff hole to claim the overall victory! Congrats to Sarah Mutai and Amy Seo on their T3 runner-up finishes.
Ronny Zheng lead the boys after round one with an eagle on the par 4 #18, to shoot 69. Close behind, Benjamin Battye had a solid under-par round of 70 and Palmer Freeman at 71. In the end, Battye pulled away with the win posting a solid 73 on day two to run away with a 2-stroke victory! Luke Bailey was in the hunt today posting a red-number, 71, to catapult himself to a runner-up finish.
