Foundation Award
Beginning in 1999, the Southern California PGA Foundation has annually recognized a junior golfer who exemplifies outstanding character, sportsmanship, and leadership. The recipient of this award has demonstrated a positive influence on their fellow SCPGA Junior Tour Members and has set a notable example for all others to emulate.
Tanner Capik – Tanner has been a member of the SCPGA Junior Tour since 2017. During his tenure it has become quite evident that he is respected by his fellow playing competitors as someone who exemplifies a positive attitude, sportsmanship, honesty, and integrity. He truly embodies the qualities this award represents. We are honored to present our 2024 Foundation Award to Tanner Capik and wish him all the best as he continues his golf journey and education at Chaminade University of Honolulu.
Koa Seymour – Koa has been a member of the SCPGA Junior Tour since 2016, where she started as a member of the JDT. Over the past couple seasons, she has worked really hard to advance to the Toyota Tour Cup where she now has several top 3 finishes. Most importantly, though, her reputation among her peers as someone who embodies outstanding character, integrity, and sportsmanship is what made her a perfect choice for this year’s award. We are very proud to present Koa with the 2024 Foundation Award, and we wish her all the best as she takes her game to Cal State Fullerton in the Fall of 2025.
