SCPGA Junior Tour COVID-19 Notice

The rapid spread and still-unknown threat of the Coronavirus and COVID-19 find us in the middle of uncertain and extraordinary times. Having considered all the available information and in following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and local/state health department officials, the SCPGA Junior Tour is electing to act with an abundance of caution with three main goals driving our decisions:

·   Caring for the health of our players, family members, and staff

·   Preventing the virus from infiltrating further

·   Contributing to public health efforts to stem the spread of this virus throughout our golf and civic communities

In our view, these extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary actions. Across the country announcements are being made of closures, cancellations, postponements, and other disruptions to plans and life. Each of these disruptions are bound to cause an array of frustrations, inconveniences and sacrifices, all in the name of helping to curb this public health crisis.

For the time being, we are cancelling ALL Junior Tour events through May 10th, 2020.

This includes the Toyota Tour Cup at Redhawk/TCI, the Toyota Tour Cup at Industry Hills, and the 2-Day Series at Morongo.

Full refunds for these events will be initiated automatically, action on your part is not necessary.

Please take care during these times and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns,

The 2020-21 Drive, Chip and Putt Season Has Been Cancelled

The 2020-21 Drive, Chip and Putt qualifying season, set to begin May 2, will be canceled, given the continued effect of COVID-19 on scheduling during the time period critical to the success of local qualifying. Ultimately, the Founding Partners determined cancellation was the most responsible measure to take in protecting the health of everyone involved in this national endeavor, which includes tens of thousands of participants, their families and all those essential to staging hundred of qualifying events across all 50 states.

This year’s Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals originally scheduled for April 5, 2020, will be rescheduled for April 4, 20201, the eve of the Masters Tournament. Each National Finalist will be invited to compete at Augusta National Golf Club in the same age division for which he or she previously qualified in 2020, regardless of their age on that date. Purchasers of Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals tickets will be sent a refund in May and guaranteed the opportunity to purchase tickets for the National Finals next year.
