Toyota Tour Cup at Olivas Links

VENTURA, CA | Sunday’s third and final round is now complete.  Winds from the west came in stronger than day one proving to be a challenge for the field and put a premium on making pars. Round three played almost two full strokes more difficult than round two for the Girl’s Championship. Erica Lee posted an early 75 to take the clubhouse lead and watched anxiously as the final groups came in.  After the final putt dropped Erica was ecstatic to see that her name remained atop the leaderboard to capture her first TTC title! Esther Yoo posted a final round 76 and finished just one stroke back.  Sophia Fujita, Catherine Rao & Alice Zhao finished tied for the third spot just two strokes back of Lee.

The Boys Championship leaderboard changed seemingly every hole but it came down to the par-5 eighteenth hole where several had opportunities to capture the title.  However, none would prevail and in the end three were tied in the house at -7 requiring extra holes. Nolan Kuszyk, Daniel Heo, and Jin Nakao would head back to the first tee to determine our champion. All three hit good approaches into the par-4 first hole, but it was Nolan Kuszyk who drained a 20+ foot putt from the fringe for birdie and took the title!
