Players Tour Spring 2-Day at Big Rock Golf Course

INDIO, CA | The last 2-Day event of the Spring season was hosted by the beautiful Big Rock Golf Course at Indian Springs. The hidden gem of the desert had windy conditions prior to our event, but The Players Tour caught a lucky break as we had sunshine galore and a cooling breeze.
The round 1 scoring averages were 76.82 for the boys and 79.23 for the girls, as the last few groups caught the wind. Taking advantage of the pure conditions, Braden Bernaldo (Indio) and Andrew Ryland (Somis) both posted a -3, 69. Shortly behind, Cooper Nelson (Huntington Beach) sat at -2. Lisa Herman (Stevenson Ranch) and Donina Zhou (San Clemente) were in red numbers at -1 each. Hallie Brisco came in at third with an even par round.
Winning his 3rd 2-Day Series of the year, Baron Nguyen (Fountain Valley), shot a 2-under round to follow up his first-round score of 71. We had a three-way tie for second with Cooper Nelson (Huntington Beach), Richard Han (Irvine), and Nathan Yoo (Anaheim) at 1-under, 143 for the weekend.
Lisa Herman took some time away from the Toyota Tour Cup to participate this weekend and continue her reign of the 2-Day Series by taking the trophy via playoff. Lisa Herman (Stevenson Ranch) and Donina Zhou (San Clemente) both finished the weekend at 1-under. Amy Seo (Montrose) finished in third at 1-over.
