Jared Abercrombie and Kandice Chuang are the 2024 Toyota Tour Cup Max Homa Invitational Champions today at the second annual event hosted at Oak Valley Golf Club, in Beaumont, CA.

The three-day 54-hole invitational event is ranked by WAGR and was open only to Toyota Tour Cup (TTC) members who fit the criteria of being top 15 boys or top 8 girls in Junior Golf Scoreboard from SoCal, any 2022 and 2023 TTC Champions or qualified via the 2023 TTC points standings.

Max Homa participated in the SCPGA Junior Tour from 2005-2008 and won medalist honors at the Toyota Tour Cup at SilverRock in 2008. Homa has become one of the most successful alumni of the program and is a four-time PGA Tour Champion, including the Wells Fargo Championship and Fortinet Championship in 2022, The Genesis Invitational in 2021, and the Wells Fargo Championship in 2019.

Since its inception in 2023, the TTC Max Homa Invitational Series has proven to be an extremely popular addition to the tournament schedule with another full field of competitors.

In the boy’s division, Jared Abercrombie of Simi Valley stuck his approach shot to inside 1 foot on the first playoff hole to claim the top honors via a playoff with a four-under par, 212 total, which was highlighted by a final round of three-under par, 69.

Kandice Chuang of Los Angeles was the only girl’s division player to go under par en-route to victory with her one-under per, 215 three day total that included girl’s division tournament low score of 68 in the second round.

A special thank you to the host facility Oak Valley Golf Club and their tournament director Willy Clooney to our partners Max Homa, Toyota, Titleist, and, FootJoy!
