BEAUMONT, California – The final Toyota Tour Cup of the season before the Championship came to a close at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont, California over the weekend. Round one consisted of a mixed bag of results. The challenging Champions Course had a high average score of 78, even with the low round of the day coming from Robert Keilch at 4-under. Chasing him were Joseph Chun at 2-under and a handful of boys at 1-under. Out on the Legends Course, the average was also a 78 for the girls. Seo Yoon Choi was the sole girl under par shooting 71, while Keira Wang and Megan Gormley stayed in the mix with their 1-over, 73’s.
The calm winds that took place on Saturday were replaced by strong gusts that increased the challenge of the weekend. When all was said and done, Robert Keilch stood on the podium by shooting a steady 1-over 73 to win two shots over Joseph Chun. Taehoon Song added another trophy to the shelf, finishing third at 2-over for the weekend.
For the Legends, Lauren Cho took home third by staying at 5-over for the weekend. However, Emma Han forced Jasmine Koo into a playoff after shooting a final round low of 72. The two girls teed off on hole #18, landing in good position. The approach shots were into the wind, and both Koo and Han came up short. Han lipped out her par save to take home second, and Jasmine Koo made a solid up-and-down to win her first Toyota Tour Cup!
