Toyota Tour Cup number eight took place at the beautiful Los Serranos Country Club this weekend. While temperatures reached the mid-90’s with afternoon winds, the 7,003 yard South Course and 6,086 yard North Course played a little tougher than normal. Breaking away from the pack, Alrik Pan busted out a 66, 6-under, round and Serena Sepersky shot a 70, 2-under round. James Morris was sitting in second with a very solid 5-under round, and JJ Nakao and Haram Shin in third at 3-under. Ashley Yun was second at 1-under and we had four girls tied for third: Na Young Son, Caroline Canales, Ashley Kim, and Kaitlyn You at even par.
With a high of 88 degrees, Sunday was a great day for golf. The course played a bit tough, however, some players were able to hang on to their lead. Alrik Pan shot a 1-under 71 to win the trophy at 7-under total. James Morris, who also had two days in red numbers, shot 6-under total, and Haram Shin, went 69, 74 to shoot 1-under overall.
Ashely Kim received a top three finish two weeks in a row with her championship title this week. She shot 72, 71 to finish 1-under overall. Serena Sepersky continues to rack up the trophies, she shot 70, 75 for a 1-over finish. Lastly, Sherilyn Villanueva and Ashley Yun tied at 3-over to take home trophies as well.
