ANAHEIM, California -The Southern California PGA Junior tour held its monthly JDT Player Clinic at the TGR learning Lab. Thank you to the presenting partner, the Friends of Golf, for making these clinics possible.
Over 130 players and parents were in attendance to learn about the exciting world of competitive golfing. The clinic was led by SCPGA Staff member, Eddie Rodarte, PGA, and assisted by TGR Learning Lab staff member, Roman Gonzales, PGA.
During the clinic, players were taught the basic information as to how competitive golf tournaments operate. Beginning at the registration table, players learn how to check in, then they learn what to do on the first tee box, how to address the various parts of the golf course, and lastly, how the scoring area operates.
Throughout the clinic, players are chosen at random to hit competitive shots, and along the way, are able to have any questions they may have answered. These clinics are not only for the players, but parents are also invited to join on course, and also ask any questions they may have.
Our next clinic will be announced next week. To get involved in our next clinic, please check the homepage of scpgajrtour.com for date and location.
Special thanks to the Friends of Golf and the TGR Learning Lab!
