TEMECULA, CA – Redhawk Golf Course hosted this week’s Toyota Tour Cup series. This layout is extremely technical and requires precision off the tee not only to score, but also to avoid big numbers. Round one proved that point and only surrendered four total rounds in the red. Sunday’s final round showed that these players can adapt and adjust to the demands of the course as ten rounds were posted under-par. The stroke average dropped by almost a full stroke for girls (-0.64) and over one full stroke for boys (-1.1). When all scores were posted two champions emerged. Darien Zhao followed up a solid -2, 70 with another to finish at four under-par to capture his second TTC victory of the season. Timothy Jung finished just two shots back to take second place with Taewoo Yu in the third spot. All three of the trophy winners for girls posted rounds in the red. Erica Lee posted a -1, 71 to grab her first TTC trophy, Jasmine Koo posted a -3, 69 and finished five under-par to take solo second place. However, Karen Tsuru posted a career best, -7, 65 to set the Redhawk Golf Course record to capture her fourth TTC victory of the season!
