The chilly early morning weather, swirling winds, and firm greens made the first round of the Toyota Tour Cup Invitational at Oak Valley a challenge for even the most confident of players. The average score for the day was an 80.45 for boys and an 81.8 for girls. However, two players were able to fight back against the course to shoot an even par 72, Jerry Wu and Serena Sepersky. Sepersky’s round consisted of 5 birdies and Wu kept a clean card with two birdies and one double bogey.
The early morning of the final round witnessed a calm breeze, a frozen range, and many players looking for revenge. The day’s average went down to a 78.43 for boys and went down to an 80.92 for girls. A stroke or two might not seem like much, but many players drastically improved their final round score.
