The SCPGA Junior Tour congratulates Michael Kim for his stellar performance at the 2018 John Deere Classic! Kim distanced himself from his competitors this past Sunday on his way to the winner’s circle. His tournament record performance of 27-under par, 254, earned himself not only his first PGA TOUR victory but also an Open invitation and a two-year tour exemption. With a final round that included a birdie on five of his last six holes, helping him solidify an eight-stroke victory. Kim was largely on cruise control, demonstrating stellar iron play and a confident demeanor. If this victory is any indication, Kim will be back in contention soon and looking to propel his momentum in his coming tournaments.
Kim worked closely with PGA Professional, Bob Knee at the Aviara Golf Academy from 10-17 years old, while actively participating in the SCPGA Junior Tour.
